Go to the United States Practical Shooting Association website for more information (external link that OSC is not resposible for content). Practical Shooting attempts to measure the ability to shoot rapidly and accurately with a full power handgun, rifle, and/or shotgun. Those three elements - speed, accuracy, and power - form the three sides of the practical shooting triangle. By design, each match will measure a shooter's ability in all three areas. |
Welcome to the Oconomowoc Sportsman's Club's IPSC Program. We usually hold our matches on the third Sunday of the month, from March through October. The dates are listed below. Each match will have different Match Directors, who will be responsible for set-up, tear down, and general administration of the match. If you enjoy the matches, let these individuals know. We will generally have 5 stages, which includes a classifier. Bring around 150 rounds. Shooters are asked to help with stage break down and clean up after the match.
Match fees are $15 for pistol only. If you also shoot rifle, it is an additional $5. If you only shoot rifle, it is $10. We will try our best to start shooting on time, which is 9:00 am, and be finished around 12:30 pm; this will allow enough time to shoot rifle. Rifle registration will close at 1:00 pm as they also want to get home at a reasonable time. IPSC registration will begin around 8:00 am and close at 8:45 am sharp.
If you want to shoot as a group, get here early. We reserve the right to limit the number of shooters per match. If you want to shoot the match for $5, stop by on the Saturday before and help set-up for a few hours.
Email OSC IPSC coordinator, Steve Sikowski or call him at 262-646-8691. New for this year, our results will be available on the USPSA website. Click on USPSA then click on "Match Schedule and Results", then "Local Match Results", then use the drop down box to find "Oconomowoc Sportsman's Club", and get the results you want.
