Practical Shooting attempts to measure the ability to shoot rapidly and accurately with a full power handgun, rifle, and/or shotgun. Those three elements - speed, accuracy, and power - form the three sides of the practical shooting triangle. By design, each match will measure a shooter's ability in all three areas.

Welcome to the Oconomowoc Sportsman's Club's IPSC Program. We hold our matches on the third Sunday of the month, from March through October. Specific information about each month is listed below. Each monthly match has a team of individuals who are responsible for set-up, tear down, and general administration of the match. If you appreciate the matches, let these individuals know. We plan on having 6 stages, one of which will be a classifier. Plan on each match requiring between 110-150 rounds without missing. Shooters are asked to help with stage break down and clean up after the match. Thank you!

Registration and squading will begin at 8:00 am and close at 8:45 am. Match fees are $20 for pistol only. If you also shoot rifle, it is an additional $5. If you only shoot rifle, it is $10. We plan to start shooting at 9:00 am, and to be finished around 12:30 pm. Our goal is to score the match right after it is over. Therefore if one person from each squad would please be responsible for organizing your squads score sheets, pastors and timer in the bucket and getting it up to the club house would be appreciated.

If you want to shoot as a group, get here early. We reserve the right to limit the number of shooters per match and per squad. If you want to shoot the match for $5, stop by on the Saturdays at 8:00 am and help set-up for a few hours. Dan Roever is the quarter master and could use your assistance.
